2010

2010! Not only are we going into a new year, but we are entering into a
whole new decade! Talk about a fresh slate! I can’t tell you how excited I
am for this new year, especially being a part of the YFN team. There is such
an attitude of expectation for our 20th year. I am so ready to see God do
incredible things through me and in my life! I believe God has things in
store for you as well! Jesus even said that, “I makes all things new.” But,
let me ask you a question: is there something about your life that you want
to see God change this year? Is there a habit or something holding you down
that you’ve been battling for so long that finally you want to claim the
victory over? Is there something you have been standing in faith for, but it
seems just too big to accomplish? Maybe you are like me and have gotten
frustrated with “new years resolutions” and have just stopped making them
all together because of the fact that you know in the end you are going to
fail. The disappointment seems so unnecessary right? Well, I’m going to tell
you something that changed my life: GOD BELIEVES IN YOU! His word says that
“through Christ, you can do ALL things!” and that “He has made you MORE than
conquerors!” Here’s the deal: if you are looking for something from God this
year, or a victory in your life, God believes that if you trust in His power
in your life, YOU CAN DO IT! No matter what circumstance, God promises that
you can be free and overcome! So this year, even if you have messed up
already, believe in what God says about your life and claim the victory! You
have the victory!

2010 this year was my first time at Y.f.n. I do feel the need to say that it was amazing, and that now that I am at home I still feel changed. And it’s not just the “camp high”, I really do feel closer to God. While I was at Y.f.n., I finally forgave my parents for divorcing. I also feel like I really want to go to Brazil, as a missionary to spread God’s gospel. I know I am still young and I am open for whatever God has in store for me, I’m open to anything. But while I was at camp I found out that my Best friend tried to overdose and kill himself. And I would like to ask you if you can just please include him in your prayers daily because he really needs it, on top of that he just found out that his little brother has a tumor on his spinal cord, and he is going to have surgery in about two weeks. The way he explained it to me is that the chances aren’t very high and that they could lose him, and if that doesn’t happen they will probably have to re teach him all of his hand eye coordination. I know that our God is a healing God, and the power of prayer is very strong. So I am asking for your prayer’s please. Please pray for his little brother, and himself because he feel’s like God has failed him. Honestly, I really didn’t know what to tell him when he told me that, but I tried my best to tell him about God, but I don’t know all the answers and I didn’t know how to answer why God would let that happen and he told me to “stop preaching to him”, and I guess I can try to understand his bitterness about the whole situation but despite what he thinks I am not stopping there. Please lift him and his little brother and his family up in prayer, they really need it. Thank you. Y.F.N. is definitley a life changing experience. And I really hope to attend next year.
