"Going into the core, I was struggling with self doubt. I was hurt from circumstances surrounding me; I was worn down and weak. I had started to lose sight of who I was and who I belonged to. Core 2012 helped change my vision. From the moment I arrived at YFN, God began speaking life into me and showed me how special I am in His eyes. Over the course of my core experience, God showed me, in so many ways, that I am truly His son; and that He is proud of me despite my faults and failures. Being on the core changed the way I saw the world around me and myself. My life will never be the same for it. "

"The core was an absolute life changing experience! I decided to apply for core 2012 because I wanted to stretch myself and give back to the camp that had given so much to me. I have always been pretty quiet and wasn't one for praying out loud in front of people. I knew that if I wanted to grow in boldness in my spiritual walk, that the Core was the thing for me! I had so much fun working with and getting to know the interns! Not only did I get to see teens set free from bondage and strongholds; I got to experience ministry firsthand. As a part of the Core, I actually got to pray with the kids and hear their testimonies. I soon began to realize that I wasn't only impacting their life, they were impacting mine. I grew tremendously in boldness and was able to step out of my comfort zone; once I did, God moved. Therefore, I highly recommend applying for the core to anyone who is looking to deepen and grow in their spiritual walk with Christ. It has certainly changed my life and I cannot wait to see what else God has in store! "
