The Core has the opportunity to be a part of the YFN intern body,
seeing behind-the-scenes work of YFN. For six weeks, this group of 20
students will be trained, equipped, and mentored by 120 YFN interns.
They will be challenged to reach their full potential of who God has
called them to be. If you are between the ages
of 16 and 18, come and be a part of a life changing summer that you
will never forget!
The Core 2010 Testimonies
"The core 2010 completely blew my mind, God came into my life like I never imagined and took over my life. I came to YFN last year for the first time with no direction and no hope, this is where I first encountered God and then heard about the core, I wasn't very confident in applying because I didn't grow up in church and didn't know if I would fit in. God told me to apply so I did and it was the best decision of my life. You learn how to serve like never before and God reveals himself to you in ways you never knew him before. I was stretched to new places in my relationship with God and had an amazing time while doing it. If I had the opportunity to do The Core all over again I would in a heartbeat."
"Going into the core, I had a lot of false perceptions of what it means to love and worship God that existed not only in my head, but in my heart as well. The false perceptions I had were causing my view of the church and christianity to be distorted, which was causing serious problems for me spiritually. Through the core, God used everything from the relationships that I built, to cleaning toilets and digging holes to completely shatter those perceptions and open my eyes not only to what it means to truly love and worship Him, but to what walking in true love and servant hood looks like. God not only took my relationship with Him, but my whole perception of life from being one based on emotion to being one based on the truth of His word. I had a total change of heart and mind, one that I honestly could never have seen coming when I signed up for this. God shattered the old me, opened my eyes, and forever changed me from the inside out in a real way."
"It wouldn’t be enough to say that the core has just changed my life, because it has done so much more than that! The core has radically transformed me and turned my heart a complete 180. The core has drastically stretched me spiritually, physically, and mentally to the point where I am burned out and fully reliant on God. I got to be used in a leadership role like I never have before and got my life poured into by multiple people that God used. I also got the chance to minister to thousands of teenagers and to pour into them what god had laid on my heart. Through the core God taught me what it truly means to be a family and how to show Christ’s love in every aspect of my life no matter whether I feel like it or not. He showed me that this generation needs His love and mercy now more than ever and He gave me a strong heart and blazing desire to go out and minster to youth and children of this generation. This experience has honestly been the best summer of my life and it has left a phenomenal impact on me! I am so soo thankful to God for allowing me to be a part of the core 2010! I can honestly say that I will never be the same and I recommend the core to anyone who wants to know what it’s like to become a real servant and is called to impact lives."
